Venous Thromboembolism in Cancer Patients: Comparison of Lung Cancer Patients to Other Solid Tumor Patients in a Prospective Observational Study

Abstract: Background: Lung cancer (LC) is the most frequent solid tumor diagnosed worldwide and is one of the most common tumors in series of patients with cancer-related venous thromboembolism (VTE). The aim of this study was to analyze the clinical characteristics and outcome of VTE in patients with LC compared to patients with other types of cancer (OC).
