120 patients with ‘non-specific’ bacterial colpitis were vaccinated with the immunotherapeutic Gynatren/SolcoTrichovac. The degree of purity of the vaginal discharge was evaluated before commencing treatment, and after 2, 4 and 8 weeks. Bacterial cultures revealed several different pathogens. Gardnerella vaginalis was present in 105 cases. The treatment resulted in a success rate of 75% and a partial amelioration was obtained in an additional 15 % of patients.
