Abstract:Background
Non-invasive diagnosis of amyloid transthyretin (ATTR) cardiac amyloidosis using planar scintigraphy and single-photon emission computed tomography – computed tomography (SPECT-CT) with 99mTc-3,3-diphosphono-1,2-propanodicarboxylic acid (99mTc-DPD) has high specificity and sensitivity. However, the introduction of ring-configured cadmium zinc telluride (CZT) gamma cameras warrants an update in the acquisition method since these systems are not able to perform planar scintigraphy. scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
