A revision of lichenicolous fungi on Verrucaria s. lat. in Ukraine is provided. As a result, 12 species of lichenicolous fungi on Verrucaria s. lat. are reported from Ukraine. Among them, Zwackhiomyces khodosovtsevii on Verrucaria cf. nigrescens is described as new to science and Lichenopeltella coppinsii on V. muralis, Stigmidium marinum on V. mucosa as well as S. rivulorum on V. dolosa, are newly reported to Ukraine. Ten species are reported from xerotic terrestrial habitats mainly from Southern Ukraine. Only Stigmidium marinum and S. rivulorum were found in a marine and freshwater habitat respectively. Toninia subfuscae should be removed from the Ukrainian list of lichenicolous fungi due to misidentification. Didymosphaeria geminella is considered as a new synonym for Polycoccum dzieduszyckii. A worldwide key for lichenicolous fungi on Verrucaria s. lat. is provided.

It includes new records, exclusions, and confirmations to the Ukrainian administrative regions of taxa in the genera of Absconditella, Alyxoria, Arthonia, Athelia, Briancoppinsia, Buellia, Buelliella, Caloplaca, Candelariella, Chaenotheca, Circinaria, Clypeococcum, Didymocyrtis, Diplotomma, Hypocenomyce, Lawalreea, Lecania, Lecidea, Lichenochora, Lichenoconium, Lichenostigma, Micarea, Monodictys, Mycomicrothelia, Muellerella, Naevia, Pachyphiale, Parmeliopsis, Pertusaria, Phaeophyscia, Phoma, Physcia, Physconia, Piccolia, Placynthiella, Polycoccum, Polyozosia, Porpidia, Pronectria, Protoparmeliopsis, Pseudoschismatomma, Punctelia, Ramalina, Rinodina, Sarcopyrenia, Sclerophora, Sphaerellothecium, Staurothele, Strangospora, Stigmidium, Taeniolella, Tephromela, Thelocarpon, Tuckermannopsis, Verrucaria, Xanthoparmelia, Xanthoria, Zeroviella. The article provides a synopsis of the tribes Cicereae, Trifolieae, Lupulineae, Crotularieae, Genisteae of Fabaceae subfam. Faboideae in the flora of Ukraine, with nomenclatural citations, types (for most of them), and main synonyms. It is based on a critical analysis of available data on taxonomic, morphological, and molecular phylogenetic studies. The tribes Trifolieae (10 genera, 100 species) and Geniste (9 genera, 41 species) are best represented in the flora of Ukraine; least represented are Cicereae and Crotularieae (each by a single genus and species). The placement of the genus Ononis in the tribe Trifolieae is confirmed. The feasibility of splitting Trifolium s. l. into few smaller genera is not always consistent with molecular data, which indicates that most of these taxa are polyphyletic (Amoria, Lupinaster, Xerosphaera) or form paraphyletic groups: Bobrovia = sect. Glycyrrhizum, or Ursia = sect. Lupinaster. However, in our taxonomic treatment of Trifolium s. l. for the flora of Ukraine, we accept three segregate genera (Trifolium L. s. str., Chrysaspis, and Amoria), giving the advantage of diagnostic flower morphology. Occurrence of Chamaecytisus supinus, Melilotus altissimus, Trigonella balansae, T. calliceras, and T. strangulata in Ukraine (in particular, in Crimea) needs confirmation.
