Vertebral Osteomyelitis Following Translumbar Aortography

Abstract: Translumbar aortography is the method of choice for abdominal angiog raphy in patients whose vascular disease precludes use of the Seldinger technique via the transfemoral or transaxillary route. Complication rates have decreased with the use of teflon catheters. A case in which vertebral osteomyelitis developed after translumbar aortography is presented.
