Very simple synthesis formulas for microcoplanar striplines

Abstract: CONCLUSION1D PBG structures composed of layers of dipole elements were presented and the impact of changing the periodicity on the width and the frequency of the bandgap were discussed. Based on that a novel 1D PBG structure composed of layers of dipoles with orthogonal orientation was introduced. This novel type of PBG showed simultaneous polarization and frequency selectivity that can be adjusted independently for the two orthogonal polarizations and can be used for filtering purposes.
