Vibrational relaxation of the 2ν2 level of NH3

Abstract: On the assignment of the ν2 and ν3 vibrational levels of C2H+ 4Lead salt diode lasers are used in conjuction with a Q-switched CO 2 laser to measure collisional energy transfer from the 2v 2 level ofNH 3 . The (V-T,R) relaxation rate from the 2v 2 level is found to be approximately an order of magnitude faster than the comparable relaxation rate from the v 2 level. (V-V) transfer from the V l to the 2v 2 levels plays an insignificant role in the dynamics of energy transfer in the V 2 mode of NH 3 . 2892
