Videoconference and Embodied VR: Communication Patterns Across Task and Medium

Abstract: Videoconference has become the dominant technology for remote meetings. Embodied Virtual Reality is a potential alternative that employs motion tracking in order to place people in a shared virtual environment as avatars.
