The Vilsmeier-Haack reaction has fascinated organic chemists due to its significant use in the synthesis of numerous heterocycles. This analytical evaluation provides a scrutinized overview of the literature on the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds by Method: A comprehensive review of the literature related to Vilsmeier- Haack reagents and reactions is done from PubMed and other sources like google scholar and Google websites.
