The main function of Ideological and political theory course in Colleges and universities is to carry out ideological and political education and moral education to help students establish a good world outlook, outlook on life and values. The main purpose of this paper is to combine VR technology with ideological and political theory course in Colleges and universities. The data of this experiment is from our school to select economics class 1, economics class 2, financial management class 1, and financial management class 2. The average score of Ideological and political theory course in the final examination of last semester of the four classes is close to and close to each other, and 50 people are selected as samples. They were randomly divided into two groups: VR teaching group (economics class 1: A1, financial management class 1: B1) and general teaching group (economics class 2: A2, financial management class 2: B2). VR teaching group lasted for one month, VR ideological and political theory class classroom teaching, ordinary teaching group or traditional teaching. One month later, the four groups of students were tested for ideological and political theory. Before and after the experiment, group A1 and group B1 were investigated: the learning attitude and classroom state of Ideological and political theory course. The experimental results show that: after VR classroom learning, the proportion of A1 and B2 groups who like to think about political theory class increased by 8.2% and 8.14%. The proportion of A1 and B1 aversion to ideological and political theory courses decreased to 1.2% and 3.54%. After VR classroom teaching, the average score of Ideological and political theory course in A1 and B1 groups was 13.81 and 9.68 points higher than that of A2 and B2 groups, and the scores were increased by 19.7% and 13.5%. VR classroom teaching can stimulate students' interest in learning; promote the understanding of knowledge, as well as the establishment of emotional attitude and values. The latest developments in virtual reality (VR) are gaining attention in education as they are expected to provide riskfree, hands-on learning experiences. However, the use of VR in laboratory settings is still in its early stages of adoption. Therefore, it remains unclear whether these technologies will be widely adopted to educate students in laboratories, as well as their advantages and disadvantages compared to traditional laboratories. This study aims to map the global scientific publications related to the use of VR for teaching in virtual laboratories. To achieve this, we analyze the global scientific landscape of publications related to the use of VR for teaching students in laboratories. We combined bibliometric and network analysis techniques to analyze the metadata of related research articles published between 1994 and 2022 indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection. Our findings show a rising trend, with almost 65% of all articles published between 2018 and 2022. Leading journals include the Journal of Chemical Education, Computers & Education, and Computers Applications in Engineering Education. Most publications are indexed in the research areas of Education & Educational Research, Computer Science, and Engineering. The United States leads in publications, collaborating mostly with Denmark, Spain, and the United Kingdom. The University of California is the top organization in publications, with Griffith University facilitating knowledge exchange among organizations. By providing an overview of publications related to the use of VR in laboratory education, we hope that this study will be of interest to researchers, educators, and students.

Stress Reduction Using Bilateral Stimulation in Virtual Reality

The goal of this research is to integrate Virtual Reality (VR) with the bilateral stimulation used in EMDR as a tool to relieve stress. We created a 15 minutes relaxation training program for adults in a virtual, relaxing environment in form of a walk in the woods. The target platform for the tool is HTC Vive, however it can be easily ported to other VR platforms. An integral part of this tool is a set of sensors, which serves as physiological measures to evaluate the effectiveness of such system. What is more, the system integrate visual (passing sphere), auditory (surround sound) and tactile signals (vibration of controllers). A pilot treatment programme, incorporating the above mentioned VR system, was carried out. Experimental group consisting of 28 healthy adult volunteers (office workers), participated in three different sessions of relaxation training. Before starting, baseline features such as subjectively perceived stress, mood, heart rate, galvanic skin response and muscle response were registered. The monitoring of physiological indicators is continued during the training session and one minute after its completion. Before and after the session, volunteers were asked to re-fill questionnaires regarding the current stress level and mood. The obtained results were analyzed in terms of variability over time: before, during and after the session.
