Virome analysis of lily plants reveals a new potyvirus

Abstract: Lily plants exhibiting virus-like symptoms of leaf yellowing, twisting and brownish necrotic spots were collected, and next-generation sequencing of small RNAs was conducted to identify the associated viruses. Cucumber mosaic virus, lily symptomless virus and a hitherto unrecorded potyvirus, tentatively named "lily yellow mosaic virus" (LYMV), were detected.
