Viscous attenuation of a detonation wave propagating in a channel

Abstract: Summary. The initiation and propagation of a detonation wave in a two-dimensional channel is simulated by an Euler and a Navier-Stokes solver. Transport processes were found to play a role in the wave propagation, resulting in a lower wave propagation speed arising from viscous drag.
