Visualization of the Parameters and Changes of Signals Controlling the Operation of Common Rail Injectors

Abstract: The electromagnetic injector in the Common Rail system is the actuator directly responsible for fuel injection. Its proper operation is enabled by ensuring appropriately shaped changes of the electric signal worked out by the output stage of the controller. This paper determines the repeatability of the control signal and the possibility of using this signal for the diagnostics of the electrical part of the injector.

“…The proposition of model identified on the basis of experiments may serve as an important tool in the design process of systems eliminating vibrations and the measurements of engine vibrations. It can also be a valuable source of diagnostic information about the technical condition of piston engines, in particular, torsional vibration dampers [20][21][22][23][24][25]. The phenomenon of vibration coupling in the crankshaft transfers oscillations between angular and transversal displacements.…”

“…It is also important to stress that the use of these fuels for energy purposes reduces the emission of methane spontaneously released from, among others, dumping sites, which is ca. 25 times more harmful to the ozone layer than carbon dioxide [7].…”
