Abstract: Background: Vitamin D has neuroprotective and immunomodulating functions that may impact glial cell function in the brain. Previously, we reported molecular and behavioral changes caused by deficiency and supplementation of vitamin D in an Alzheimer’s disease (AD) mouse model.
