Problems in the vocational rehabilitation counseling of the neuropsychiatrically disabled are discussed. The 3 major problem areas considered are: (1) medical feasibility for training, (2) the limitations resulting from the disability, and (3) the selection of a vocational rehabilitation leads to the conclusion that: "Research so far has contributed little of a positive nature to the counselor in the field. We are forced to the recognition of the fact that the most important instrument in psychology, and in counseling, is the psychologist himself." 26 references.
