Vowel Hiatus in Lubukusu Revisited: A Positional Faithfulness Reanalysis

Abstract: Previous phonological studies have indicated that a sequence of dissimilar hetero-syllabic/morphemic vowels are dispreferred across languages because it creates vowel hiatus. As a result, it may engender multiple repair mechanisms.
