“…The survey tool used in this study was the Vulnerable Elders Survey (VES-13) developed by Saliba and colleagues (2001), which is a free and publicly available document by the Research and Development (RAND) group based in the US. The VES-13 is a simple and reliable tool for identi cation and tracking of community-dwelling vulnerable older persons aged 65 years and over (Saliba et al, 2001) and can be used to guide health care professionals in primary care to develop more effective interventions to improve the quality of life in this population (Nutakor & Gavu, 2020;Perseguino et al, 2022). The tool collects data such as age, self-rated health, limitations in physical function, and functional disabilities.…”

“…The risk toward cognitive decline including loneliness and depression is also high(Kervin et al, 2021;Powell et al, 2021;Roofeh et al, 2020), which can then contribute to low perceptions about their health(Raymo & Wang, 2022;Zhang et al, 2021). These risk factors affecting physical and psychological wellbeing contribute to vulnerability where the older person is at increased susceptibility for an adverse outcome, injury and admission to a nursing home or hospitalisation(Culo, 2011;Perseguino et al, 2022). affect health and wellbeing (Kotval-K et al, 2020).…”
