Vulnerability assessment of karst aquifers under Mediterranean climates

Abstract: <p>Carbonate aquifers supply freshwater to about one-quarter of the world population. Their particular hydrodynamic behavior is a valuable property for groundwater extraction, on the downside, carbonate aquifers are vulnerable to overexploitation and pollution.
