W‐band microstrip band‐pass filter using branch‐line coupler with open stubs

Abstract: This article presents the design and measurement of a microstrip band‐pass filter (BPF) using modified branch‐line coupler with asymmetric open‐circuit stubs in the W‐band frequency range. The fundamental topology consists of using the branch‐line coupler as a filtering section by loading the coupled ports with suitable lengths of open‐circuit stubs. Therefore, transmission responses with simultaneously good stopband and sharp cutoff slope are derived, while the passband bandwidth can be easily controlled by m… Show more

“…In the switching method the resonance frequency of oscillator is modified by adding L and C elements to the tank via MOS switches, which reduces the tuning range and increases phase noise. A 4 th LC resonator has been used to design a dual-band oscillator [4] and mode-switching can be used to design a dual-band oscillator [5][6][7][8].…”

“…Originating from the planar H‐plane RW filters, SIW filters have gained great interest in the last decade. The SIW filters are superior over the traditional waveguide filters and planar transmission line filters due to the aforementioned benefits of SIWs . According to the coupling topologies, SIW filters can be classified into four categories: inductive post, iris windows, circular cavities, and rectangular cavities with cross‐coupling .…”
