Walk the Line: Optimizing the Layout Design of Moving Walkways

Abstract: A moving walkway (also denoted as moving sidewalk, travelator, autowalk, pedestrian conveyor, or skywalk) is a slow moving conveyor that transports standing or walking people horizontally over a short to medium distance.
