Kurzfassung Produzierende Industrieunternehmen sind durch Technologiesprünge und kontinuierlich steigende Variantenzahlen einem zunehmenden Wandlungsdruck ausgesetzt. Bisherige Ansätze konzentrieren sich auf die Planung wandlungsfähiger Produktionssysteme. Der vorgestellte Ansatz basiert darauf, die Wandlungsfähigkeit bereits im Produktentstehungsprozess (PEP) zu berücksichtigen. Erreicht wird dies durch die Analyse der Wandlungstreiber auf strategischer Unternehmensebene, der Ableitung passender Produkt- und Prozesskonzepte im PEP, durch geeignete Organisationsstrukturen sowie durch eine enge Verzahnung von Produkt- und Prozessentwicklung im Sinne des Simultaneous Engineerings.
