Warped Ricci-flat reductions

Abstract: We present a simple class of warped-product vacuum (Ricci-flat) solutions to ten and elevendimensional supergravity, where the internal space is flat and the warp factor supports de Sitter (dS) and anti-de Sitter (AdS) vacua in addition to trivial Minkowski vacua. We outline the construction of consistent Kaluza-Klein (KK) reductions and show that, although our vacuum solutions are non-supersymmetric, these are closely related to the bosonic part of well-known maximally supersymmetric reductions on spheres. We… Show more

“…It turns out that the entropies of all the CFT examples in this paper are given by 2π Q 1 Q 2 + Q 1 Q 3 + Q 2 Q 3 − 2c(J 1 + J 2 ) with charges Q 1,2,3 , angular momenta J 1,2 and central charge c. The results for other M 3 make predictions to the gravity side. * mh974ATdamtp.cam.ac.uk 1 See also [10] for another embedding.…”

“…De spite having curvature singularity, the modes in the AdS 3 gravity obtained upon the reduction are smooth. This implies that these are "good" singularities in the sense used in [29,30]. Given the curvature singularity one may examine whether the higher derivative corrections to gravity action can remove the singularity.…”
