Abstract:The article is devoted to the sorption treatment of industrial effluents, which contain heavy metal ions (HMI) by the natural clay mineral kaolinite - an activated adsorbent. The main sources of HMI receipts are revealed - industrial and agricultural production. The influence of heavy metals on human health is considered.
