Spatial separation of water dimers from water monomers and larger water-clusters through the electric deflector is presented. A beam of water dimers with 93 % purity and a rotational temperature of 1.5 K was obtained. Following strong-field ionization using a 35 fs laser pulse with a wavelength centered around 800 nm and a peak intensity of 10 14 W/cm 2 we observed proton transfer and 46 % of ionized water dimers broke apart into hydronium ions H3O + and neutral OH. arXiv:1904.08716v3 [physics.atm-clus]

СТУПIНЬ ДИМЕРИЗАЦIЇ, ЕФЕКТИВНА ПОЛЯРИЗОВНIСТЬ МОЛЕКУЛ I ТЕПЛОЄМНIСТЬ НАСИЧЕНОЇ ВОДЯНОЇ ПАРИ УДК 538.9, 546.3 Робота присвячена дослiдженню властивостей водяної пари. Основна увага зосередже-на на фiзичнiй природi її ефективної поляризовностi та теплоємностi при постiйно-му об'ємi. Встановлено, що специфiчнi температурнi залежностi цих характеристик зумовленi головним чином тепловими коливаннями димерiв води. У зв'язку з цим ви-значено нормальнi координати для коливань димера. Детально дослiдженi коливання дипольних моментiв димерiв та розглянуто їх внесок у дiелектричну проникнiсть во-дяної пари. Також враховано внесок мiжчастинкової взаємодiї до теплоємностi водяної пари. Аналiзуючи поведiнку ефективної поляризовностi та теплоємностi, визначено температурну залежнiсть концентрацiї димерiв вздовж лiнiї спiвiснування рiдина-пара. Помiтна димеризацiя в насиченiй водянiй парi вiдбувається лише за темпера-тури / c > 0,8 (де c -критична температура). Важливо зазначити, що успiшне вiдтворення ефективної поляризовностi та теплоємностi може служити хорошим випробуванням для правильного опису концентрацiї димерiв в рiзних пiдходах. К л ю ч о в i с л о в а: насичена водяна пара, ефективна поляризовнiсть, теплоємнiсть при постiйному об'ємi. ВступIснує багато робiт [1-9], присвячених димеризацiї водяної пари. Автори використовують рiзнi методи для дослiдження: 1) визначення концентрацiї ди-мерiв d за допомогою другого вiрiального коефiцi-єнта [10][11][12]; 2) прямий розрахунок [13][14][15], що ви-магає знання коливальних i обертальних спектрiв збуджень димерiв; 3) визначення концентрацiї за допомогою дослiдження теплопровiдностi водяної пари. На жаль, результати суттєво вiдрiзняються один вiд одного.З цього випливає, що аналiз нових властивостей водяної пари може допомогти нам вибрати пра-вильнi значення d . Ми вважаємо, що серед них є такi важливi властивостi, як 1) ефективна поля-ризовнiсть на одну молекулу, 2) теплоємнiсть при постiйному об'ємi на одну молекулу. У зв'язку з цим ми хотiли б вiдзначити таке.Ефективна поляризовнiсть молекул води визна-чається стандартним рiвнянням:де W i -чисельна i масова густина водяної па-ри. Поблизу iз потрiйною точкою водяна пара пра-ктично не димеризується, i його ефективна поля-ризовнiсть зводиться доде e -поляризовнiсть електронної оболонки мо-лекули води,-внесок, зумовлений дипольним моментом iзольо-ваної молекули води. Simulation of the Interaction Potential between Water Molecules

The structure and the explicit form of the interaction potential between molecules in water vapor have been studied. The main contribution to this potential is supposed to be made by repulsive, dispersion, and electrostatic forces. The irreducible contribution caused by the overlapping of the electron shells of water molecules, which is usually associated with hydrogen bonds, is supposed to be small and neglected. Interaction potentials, in which the molecular repulsion is described by either a "soft" power-law potential or a hard-core one, have been constructed. In both cases, a multipole series expansion up to the dipole-octupole term is used for the electrostatic interaction between molecules. The dispersion interaction is approximated by the standard London formula. The multipole moments are taken to be equal to their experimental values or close to their values obtained from quantum chemical calculations. The model parameters for the repulsive and dispersion potentials are selected to correctly reproduce the parameters of an isolated dimer and the temperature dependence of the second virial coefficient. The obtained potentials are used to construct the average potentials of interaction between the molecules, which govern the thermodynamic, kinetic, and electrophysical properties of water vapor. A characteristic feature of the repulsive potential is the value of power exponent: = 28. The proposed potentials differ substantially from the well-known ones, such as SPC, SPC/E, TIPS, and other potentials. K e y w o r d s: water vapor, molecular interaction potential.
