Water vapor detection system based on scanning spectra

Abstract: Scanning the absorption spectral line of water vapor through wavelength around 1368.597 nm is successfully used to measure the value of micro-moisture content. The synchronous superposition average of original signal algorithm based on labview is innovated and applied to detecting weak spectrum absorption signal instead of low pass filter. Two data processing methods are used to get the concentration of water vapor in ppm: one is a general formula method which has newly deduced a general formula to calculate t… Show more

“…According to the Lambert-Beer law, when a beam of parallel light with an intensity I 0 (λ) passes through a gas cell filled with the gas under test and provided that the spectrum of the light source encompasses one or more of the absorption lines of the gas, the relationship among the transmitted light intensity I(λ), incident intensity I 0 (λ), and the gas concentration C is [7,8] …”

“…As the manufacturing process of DFB-LD fairly matures, tunable diode laser spectroscopy (TDLS) has been extensively applied to monitor the concentrations of various gases [1]- [4]. Compared to electrochemical and other non-optical techniques, TDLS not only has numerous advantages such as excellent insulation property, high sensitivity, wide range, long operating life, and real-time performance, but also provides a ability for applications to simultaneously measure multiple parameters including pressure, concentration and temperature by accuracy fitting the absorption line shape [5], [6].…”
