Abstract:Waterborne novolac epoxy based thermal resistant and fire‐retardant thermal insulation coatings were developed in this work. Novolac (phenolic) epoxy emulsion (PEE) was prepared by the phase inversion method based on formulation optimization by orthogonal array testing.
