Abstract:The wavelengths of eight x-ray lines of the transuranium elements Np, Pu, and Am have been determined. The existence of the Ma2 line of actinide, reported by some experimenters but not observed in this work, is discussed. Present and previously reported values of the wavelengths of these emission lines are compared with those of &0Th, »Pa, »U by means of Moseley diagratns. %'avelength values for seven previously unreported x-ray lines are given. In addition, inaccuracies in several previously reported waveleng… Show more
“…Some other previously experimental works were devoted to the study on the wavelengths of the M X-rays. [29,30] Bhalla [31] calculated the radiative transition rates for a vacancy in the Mshell of Np with the Hartree-Fock-Slater method. Lu et al [32] calculated transition rates of filling a K-shell vacancy with an electron in the Lto Pshells by making use of the same method.…”

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
