Let πΊ be a finite group.
An irreducible character of πΊ is called a π«-character if it is an irreducible constituent of (1_{H})^{G} for some maximal subgroup π» of πΊ.
In this paper, we obtain some conditions for a solvable group πΊ to be π-nilpotent or π-closed in terms of π«-characters.
