Weaning failure of cardiovascular origin: how to suspect, detect and treat—a review of the literature

Abstract: Among the multiple causes of weaning failure from mechanical ventilation, cardiovascular dysfunction is increasingly recognized as a quite frequent cause that can be treated successfully.
