Abstract:To maintain skin moisture, we need to maintain good stratum corneum barrier function, which prevents moisture evaporation from the inside of the skin. Transepidermal water loss (TEWL), the amount of water that evaporates from the skin, indicates the state of barrier function. The barrier function of facial skin is easily damaged in daily life, and the condition of the skin becomes worse without us noticing.
