Weathering of Roofing Insulation Materials under Multi-Field Coupling Conditions

Abstract: Rigid polyurethane foam, foam concrete, and vacuum insulation board are common roofing insulation materials. Their weathering performance under long-term multi-field coupling determines the overall service life of the roof. The weathering properties of rigid polyurethane foam, foam concrete and vacuum insulation panels were studied under freeze thaw, humid-heat, dry-wet, high-low temperature, and multi-field coupling cycles, respectively. The heat transfer and construction process of roof panels was simulated … Show more

“…EPUC (EPUC) is a composite material mixed with one component or two component Polyurethane as the binder, cement sand as the filler aggregate and mixed with a certain proportion of rubber particles. Compared with conventional concrete, EPUC has lower density, higher strength and a shorter fitting time and, in the flow state, it is a kind of colloid in nature, with strong bonding force, no peeling damage and a strong ability to limit cracks; however, it has high usage costs and considerable construction process requirements [2,3]. At the same time, the addition of rubber particles can effectively reduce the internal stress and failure cracks of EPUC; it effectively inherits the energy absorption and impact resistance characteristics of the rubber particles [4], which can protect engineering structures and resist fatigue, thus prolonging a given structure's service life.…”

“…The reproduction tests were performed for all the eluates. When observing the reproduction results for both eluates, after 64 days, a stabilization of the reproduction behavior was noticed at the end of the test, indicating a reduction of the toxicity and decrease in the presence of active ingredients from the waterproof material when exposed to water for a longer time [ 28 ]. The drop in the number of offsprings was not very alarming for eluates of the waterproof material.…”

“…In addition, it does not need to spend a lot of time on the complicated process of programming and solving problems. This feature makes the software a very convenient tool for theoretical realization in scientific research, rather than black box software which can only input the parameters for a solution [34,35].…”
