“…Similarly, the daily 1–egg-yolk consumption was increased; meanwhile, saturated fat in diet was decreased in accordance with information shared in the intervention group. In Daşikan's 21 study on the effect of a theory-based individual counseling initiative on weight management in pregnancy (non-FH people), whole-grain bread consumption created a statistically significant difference between the groups in baseline-to-second and baseline-to-final visit processes. Similar to our study, in a randomized controlled study in which Broekhuizen et al 20 aimed to improve healthy lifestyle behaviors in patients with FH, it was determined that after a 12-month counseling initiative, the consumption of saturated fat in female patients in the intervention group showed a statistically significant decrease, but the difference between the 2 groups from the point of vegetable and fruit consumption was not statistically significant.…”

Excessive weight gain during this period was found to be related with gestational diabetes, hypertension, preeclampsia, vaginal birth assisted with intervention, cesarean section and early birth 2-4. In addition to its maternal effects, excessive weight gain during pregnancy includes many metabolic risks, especially macrosomia, and health problems in childhood and adulthood in the newborn 5.…”
