The purpose of the study is to determine the development of investment trends in agricultural enterprises, assess the impact of external and internal factors on their activation, and justify the direction of increasing investment in the agricultural sector of Ukraine. It was established that the volume of investments in 2022 decreased compared to 2021 by 30%. As for the share of agricultural sector investments, the total amount was 12.11 % in Ukraine. The results of the study are that the investment trends of agricultural enterprises were analysed, and the factors that directly affect the amount of investment resources that are attracted to the agricultural sector of the economy of Ukraine were determined and evaluated. The increase of investment resources in agriculture has proven to depend on active measures to ensure business efficiency. Finding mechanisms for increasing the volume of investment resources will contribute to developing business processes at the sectoral and regional levels and strengthen their financial security. Indeed, agricultural enterprises that quickly provide a return on invested capital with the most significant profits are more attractive to investors. Considering this, the more promising thing for the Ukrainian economy is not the production of agricultural products but their processing.

Conservation of forest resources is a prerequisite for sustainable development of human society, both in the context of preventing negative climate change and for economic growth. The study aims to establish or refute the co-dependence between the level of forest cover in European countries and the production of gross domestic product. The study object is the socio-economic systems of the national economies of European countries in relation to the totality of forest resources of the continent. Studying the dynamics of forest cover indicators (the share of forests in the total area of the country and forest area per capita), weighted within the internationally recognized regions of Europe, it is confirmed that the level of forest cover of European countries is gradually increasing. The analysis of forest fire area maps identifies three main groups by the level of vulnerability to forest fires: safe (Northern European countries), conditionally safe (Western European countries), and dangerous (Eastern and Southern European countries).Denmark, Finland, France, Norway, and Finland show a direct correlation between the level of forest cover of a country’s territory and gross domestic product. The results of cluster analyses based on the data from 2000, 2010, 2015, and 2020 confirm the existence of a stable cluster of European countries (34 countries) in which there is one type of relationship between the production of gross domestic product and the level of forest cover of the territory. Introduction: The globalisation of the economy, dynamic changes in financial markets, and the advent of big data have spurred the development and implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) tools for forecasting economic trends. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of AI and ML on the accuracy and effectiveness of economic trend forecasting. The authors analyse examples of AI and ML applications in various economic sectors during the period 2019–2023, including regional aspects. Methods: To achieve the objectives of this study, we conducted a comprehensive qualitative and quantitative analysis of the role of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in predicting economic trends. Results: The findings indicate that the use of AI and ML improves the efficiency of economic trend forecasting and allows for quicker adaptation to market changes, thereby reducing risks and uncertainty. Conclusions: Thus, the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning in economic analysis not only increases the effectiveness of forecasting but also lays the foundations for the sustainable development of economies in a globalised world.
