What are the Strategies for Controlling Hydatid Cysts in Developing Countries?

Abstract: Hydatid cysts (HC), caused by the tapeworm of the genus Echinococcus, pose a significant public health challenge in many developing countries. These cysts primarily affect livestock, such as sheep, cattle, and goats, but can also infect humans, the two most important forms in humans are cystic echinococcosis (hydatidosis) and alveolar echinococcosis, leading to serious health complications.
