Abstract:Through meticulous design involving prestretching and various annealing procedures, we prepared poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) films featuring a series-coupled lamellar composite model structure. Each film manifests distinct properties of the crystalline and glassy amorphous phases. Using synchrotronbased in situ small-angle X-ray scattering and wide-angle X-ray diffraction techniques, we investigated the yield mechanisms of these oriented PET samples. Our findings highlight a competition between the yield… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
