What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger: The burdens and benefits of toxin sequestration in a milkweed aphid

Abstract: Specialized insect herbivores commonly co‐opt plant defences for protection against predators, but the costs, benefits and mechanisms of sequestration are poorly understood.
