Immigrant women significantly shape economic and societal landscapes in both origin and destination countries, comprising nearly half of the world's international immigrants and a substantial portion of the labor force. Their contributions enrich host countries through valuable skills, workforce participation, and cultural exchange, while also supporting their home countries via remittances. However, they face considerable workplace challenges, including wage disparities, job insecurity, and discrimination, exacerbated by gender and immigration status. Despite their critical roles, systemic issues such as undervaluation of their work and restrictive policies hinder their professional advancement. Addressing these challenges requires a comprehensive understanding of their multifaceted experiences and targeted strategies to foster inclusive and equitable workplaces. This chapter aims to explore these dynamics and propose actionable solutions to enhance the professional lives of immigrant women.
