Abstract: Rotator cuff tears are the most frequent shoulder injury in patients over 50 years old. Treatment of rotator cuff tears is individualized based on the age, demands, and symptoms of the patient. Nonoperative treatment may often be effective, especially in lower-demand or elderly patients.
