Abstract: Background: In urothelial carcinoma (UC), apolipoprotein B mRNA-editing enzyme catalytic polypeptide-like (APOBEC) enzymes are major contributors to the mutational burden. The APOBEC family mutates specific DNA sequences and hairpin-loop structures, creating Hotspot Mutations (ApoHM).
