Abstract: An apparent sexual dimorphism, such as growth rate and immunocompetence, is observed in the Chinese soft‐shelled turtle (Pelodiscus sinensis). The identification of sex‐related markers and candidate genes holds significance for the sex‐controlled breeding of P. sinensis.
