Aim of Study:To analyse each test item for relevance to functional and progressive assessment of Parkinsonian patients receiving therapy; and to prove the test was not time consuming to the therapist, by comparison with a complete A.D.L. assessment.
FOREWORDFor the purpose of this study a comprehensive form of evaluation was designed. The value was tested, of each item as a means of progressive assessment, of Parkinsonian patients receiving Chemo-or Neurosurgical therapy. The information i n this study was based on the work done with a control group of forty normal people and a Parkinsonian group of eight, and provides ground work for future research. In a study of this size it was possible only to introduce general principles and there must necessarily be errors of omission. The emphasis throughout, was on the speed and practical aspects of each item, with respect to assessment and on relation to Activities of Daily Living
