This research investigates the influence of tourism infrastructure and online promotion on tourist visit intention, with tourist satisfaction as an intervening variable, focusing on the Island of Bali. A quantitative approach using a cross-sectional survey design was employed, gathering data from 110 tourists. The results revealed significant positive relationships between tourist infrastructure and visit intention, online promotion and visit intention, as well as tourist infrastructure and satisfaction. The mediation analysis confirmed the mediating role of tourist satisfaction. These findings highlight the interconnectedness of infrastructure, digital marketing strategies, and visitor satisfaction in shaping tourist behavior and destination experiences. The study underscores the importance of a holistic approach to destination management that integrates infrastructure development, effective online promotion, and a focus on enhancing visitor satisfaction for sustainable tourism growth.

Birdwatching is one of the conservation education techniques used to increase awareness related to the importance of bird conservation. EEA Bagek Kembar is an area with the potential to be developed as a Birdwatching Ecotourism site. This research aims to understand the public’s perception, especially visitors, regarding the potential development of Birdwatching Ecotourism in EEA Mangrove Bagek Kembar. Data on the public’s perceptions of EEA Mangrove Bagek Kembar were collected using questionnaires and observations. The data analysis method used in this research is qualitative descriptive analysis. Based on the research findings, the areas with potential for development as Birdwatching Ecotourism in EEA Mangrove Bagek Kembar are the coastal and rehabilitated mangrove areas. This is supported by birdwatching activities previously conducted by visitors to EEA Mangrove Bagek Kembar. Visitors to EEA Mangrove Bagek Kembar, predominantly students, have identified more than 5 bird species in the EEA Bagek Kembar area. Visitors show a high interest in birdwatching activities and support the development of birdwatching ecotourism in EEA Bagek Kembar.

Birdwatching is one of nature recreations focusing on enjoying the wild birds. This activity is a hobby that continuously develops and has high economical value, besides beneficial related to conservation. A study of birdwatching in Indonesia is only focused on a bird potential supply concept in various locations without any demand study. A demand study is expected to become the basic of birdwatching management following the birdwatcher desire. This study aimed to analyze the birdwatcher characteristics in Indonesia on demographical, experience, motivation, and preference aspects. The study was performed on February to April, 2020 using online questionnaire distributed to Indonesian birdwatchers. The respondents who completely filled or nearly filled the questionnaire were 1257 birdwatchers. The respondent demographic is dominated by male, adolescent and early adult, living in the city, high educational background, and conservation organization member. The birdwatching experience is dominated by less than 3 hours activity. The protected area becomes the most-visited location by birdwatchers followed by the urban landscape. Bird identification is mostly carried out through visuals rather than through sounds. The most commonly used equipment is the bird fieldguide and binoculars.
