Why the results of elections don't express the will of the people

Parth Jain

Abstract: This essay is a thought exercise on the process of elections. It aims to introduce a discussion into why elections may not be considered an absolute representation of the will of the electorate, as would be ideal in a democracy, with a broader objective of influencing discussion on how these aspects may be addressed in different democracies and systems of power.
