Abstract:Wideband designs of proximity fed isosceles triangular microstrip antennas gap‐coupled with pairs of sectoral patches are proposed. Bandwidth enhancement is due to the gap‐coupling between the fundamental modes of the fed and parasitic patches, which are placed in an empty area around the fed patch.
