Wideband low-profile monopole antenna for mobile and wireless monitoring applications

Abstract: International audienceA compact wideband monopole antenna for mobile and wireless monitoring applications is presented. The proposed antenna will be implemented in a wireless system devoted to remote monitoring water and wastewater applications. The antenna is mainly designed to operate within the frequency range of 700-2700 MHz covering different mobile and wireless frequency bands with a return loss less than -6dB. Omnidirectional radiation pattern and improved radiation performances are very suitable. An op… Show more

“…The real-time monitoring of water (and/or wastewater) may enable a rapid intervention in the case of sewage overflows, preserve rivers and lakes from any contamination, prevent flooding, etc. [3]. The antenna design for a modern radar system at microwave and millimeter-wave frequencies is a critical and challenging task which needs a strong expertise and a special attention [2][3][4].…”

“…[3]. The antenna design for a modern radar system at microwave and millimeter-wave frequencies is a critical and challenging task which needs a strong expertise and a special attention [2][3][4]. High gain, high directivity, and reduced size are the most suitable features in a microwave and millimeter-wave antenna for modern radar systems.…”
