Wiedza o autyzmie u polskich adeptów psychologii

Abstract: Podstawowym warunkiem adekwatnej diagnozy oraz właściwego procesu leczenia i nauczania dzieci z autyzmem oraz wspierania rodziny jest odpowiedni poziom wiedzy profesjonalistów na temat autyzmu. Badania na temat wiedzy o autyzmie prowadzone są w różnych grupach zawodowych w wielu krajach świata, lecz tylko nieliczne dotyczą przyszłych psychologów, a żadne nie obejmują studentów farmacji. However, the attitudes of people without disabilities towards people with disabilities seem to be modified by other factors such as unpredictability of behaviour, visibility of dysfunction, limited ability to communicate, difficulties in self‐care, low degree of independence and self‐reliance (manifested through initiative and freedom of action) (Kossewska, 2003).
