The red raspberry (Rubus idaeus L.) is a member of the Rosaceae family. The production of raspberries has increased rapidly worldwide. In recent years, about 300 ha of remontant raspberry varieties have been planted in the Almaty region, Kazakhstan. These varieties are technologically easier to grow compared to traditional varieties because they bear fruit on annual shoots and do not require protective measures against winter damage or the installation of expensive trellis. Statistical methods can be used to quantify the impact of various factors on biometric indicators. The research aimed to evaluate the influence of the factors of variety and planting scheme of remontant raspberries on the biometric indicators of leaves and productivity. Observations were conducted in 2020 in the Aidarbayev peasant farm, Enbekshikazak district, Saymasay village, Almaty region, Kazakhstan. The Bryanskoe divo variety was found to be more productive with 40.8 t/ha, while the Polka variety showed more than twice as low yields (15.6 t/ha), due to higher numbers of laterals, the number and weight of berries and the number of leaves and a high leaf area index. The planting scheme of remontant raspberries (2.8×0.4 m) led to the highest yield (54.4 t/ha) due to a higher number of laterals per shoot, the number of berries per shoot and running m and the productivity of 1 shoot per running m as compared to the sparser planting scheme of (2.8×0.15) ×0.4 m, the productivity of which is more than two times lower at 24.6 t/ha. Thus, the variety of Bryanskoe divo cultivated at a lesser density, when compared to Polka and to a higher density planting scheme, displays better results in terms of biometric indicators, productivity, and yield.

Studies were carried out in 2019-2022. The varieties successfully adapted to the conditions of the region were selected as parental forms. Over 170 primocane-fruiting raspberry seedlings were obtained from open pollination during the years of research, 105 of which showed primocanefruiting capacity. The selection was carried out according to the following characteristics: thorniness, early ripening, stampiness, damageability by fungal infections, the weight and size of the fruits. The overwintering of the seedlings obtained from open pollination of such varieties as Gerakl, Oranzhevoye chudo, as well as form 1-220-1 was 100%. The largest number of early ripening samples was noted among the seedlings obtained from open pollination of the Zolotyye kupola variety (26%). The largest number of stamp plants was found in hybrid progenies of the Yevraziya and Pingvin varieties (50 and 53.3%, respectively). More than 50% of the seedlings of such varieties as Gerakl, Rubinovoye ozherel’ye, Pingvin, Yevraziya, and forms 37-15-4 and 32-151-1 had hard thorns on the stems. Slightly more than 19% of the varieties had a smooth stem. As a result of the selection, early and mid-ripening genotypes of primocane-fruiting raspberry that are promising for use in breeding in the Irkutsk region were obtained.

Temperature is the basic factor that differentiates vegetation around the world. All field experiments require the indication of the range of temperatures occurring in a given growing season. Temperature is an important factor determining fruit plant production, both in the growing season and in the winter dormant period. Various air temperature indicators were developed in a way that allowed the best possible description of adaptations of species, cultivars, and regions of adaptations to cultivation. They are based on experimentally obtained data and calculated optimal temperatures of growth and development of plants in particular development stages. In horticulture, the description of dependencies of the growth and development of plants on weather began to be accompanied with the development of simulation models. The aim of this manuscript was a new review of fruit plant temperature indices to predict abiotic and biotic hazards in fruit production for various selected types of fruit crops in a seasonal temperate climate. This is especially important due to the growing risk of climate change, which significantly alters local growing conditions. Therefore, it is very important to evaluate and present a set of specific indicators for producers, which we have reviewed from the current literature and presented as follows. Climatic conditions characteristic of a given region should be of key importance for the selection of species for commercial cultivation and planning of protection measures.
