Wireless Radiation Monitoring System

Abstract: A wireless sensors network to monitor the radiation level of radioactive contaminated risk areas is proposed in this paper. An experimental, low power, low cost wireless device, designed to collect and transmit radiation measurements data from radioactive waste dumps to servers was realized and tested. It becomes active and transmits information only when a given level of radiation is exceeded, offering the advantage of a reduced power consumption.
