WLAN visual sensor networking

Abstract: This paper presents a discussion on constructing a wireless ad hoc network using unattended ground visual sensors. The IEEE 802. 1 1 WLAN standard is used to implement a single-hop ad hoc network because of its simplicity. The bandwidth allocation and traffic control between visual sensors is coordinated by the Medium Access Control (MAC) protocol.
