“…The authors, therefore, subscribe to the postulation that Self-Care behaviors have a direct effect on the work-nonwork interface and can moderate the relationship between individual differences and stress and work-life integration. This agrees with the work of Moazami-Goodarzi et al (2015) which demonstrated that personality influences behaviors, feelings, and perceptions, consequently influencing the work-life interface. Hence, in analyzing the outcomes of personality in WLI management, the effects of personality traits, core-self evaluations, individuals as segregators and integrators, and Self-Care behaviors are considered (Cunningham and De La Rosa 2008;Noor 2002;Rotter 1966).…”

“…Work-life integration involves reducing conflict and increasing facilitation, and certain studies have found a direct relationship among individual differences, work-life conflict, and work-life facilitation (Greenhaus and Parasuraman 1999;Michel and Clark 2013;Moazami-Goodarzi et al 2015;Pandey and Shukla 2018). However, only a small variance in the variables was explained by this direct relationship.…”

“…In this present study, we focus on the W-FE direction of these effects, guided by recent evidence showing that personality traits are more significantly related to W-FE than to F-WE processes (McNall et al, 2011;Moazami-Goodarzi et al, 2015;Omar et al, 2018). In addition, a number of previous studies have suggested that many of the antecedents and consequences of WFE emanate from the work domain than from the family domain (McNall et al, 2011;McNall et al, 2010;Wayne et al, 2004;Wayne et al, 2006).…”

“…Friede and Ryan (2005) and have argued that an individual's personality might affect the work-family interface through mediating mechanisms, for example, by determining how they react in different situations (McNall et al, 2011). According to previous studies, individuals high on CSEs take on more challenging tasks, are more ready to learn new skills, are more confident, tend to deal with stressful situations more quickly and can manage work and family responsibilities in a healthier manner (Judge et al, 2016;McNall et al, 2011;Moazami-Goodarzi et al, 2015). Pertinently, Rashid et al (2011) have also suggested that personality traits built up in one role may enhance the performance of another.…”
